Sooner or later a message will pop up to inform you that your horse is dirty. When this message appears you have to clean the horse and by doing this you improve the bonding with it.

The good with is you have different ways to clean it so your problem won’t last long.

Clean your horse in Red Dead Redemption 2 – How?

The first option is to go to the river with your horse or any type of deep water that can cover it up to its neck.

The second option is to go to the stable (barn) and comb your horse. It is a good option though you don’t always have a barn close by.

The third option, and possibly the best one, is to find a brush and comb the horse anytime you want. You get close to the horse, hold L2 and press the left button of the D-Pad.

To get the brush you have to complete the mission that gives you Hosea at the beginning of chapter 2, when your band sets the camp. The mission is to get chased by a bruised ego, where you can leave a lure for the bear.
